St. Mary?s has earned Chest Pain Center accreditation from the Society of Chest Pain Centers. The accreditation proves St. Mary?s works seamlessly with area Emergency Medical Services to ensure patients in eastern Jackson County get the treatment they need during the critical early stages of a heart attack.

It is also the only hospital in eastern Jackson County earning Magnet Designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center for excellence in nursing care. This is one of the highest achievements a hospital can attain in professional nursing.

The Medical Center was also named a top performer by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Premier health care alliance and was tied for sixth in Kansas City in U.S. News & World Report's Best Hospitals metro area rankings last year.
