Military Affairs Committee Presentation: Supporting Veteran-Owned Businesses with VetBiz

Join the Military Affairs Committee for a special presentation by Brandie Schmidt of VetBiz, the Veteran Business Outreach Center (VBOC) serving Missouri, Kansas, and Southern Illinois. VetBiz provides critical training, counseling, and resources to help veterans, military spouses, and active-duty service members start, grow, and successfully manage their businesses.

During this session, Brandie will share how VBOC supports aspiring and existing veteran entrepreneurs, highlight available programs and services, and explain how military-connected individuals can access no-cost assistance to strengthen their business journey. This presentation is ideal for veterans considering entrepreneurship, business owners looking to scale, and community partners who support the military-connected business community.

This is a committee for members of the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce. The goals of this committee are:

1. ​Support Veteran owned business (No matter the percentage of veteran ownership.) 
2. Help military affiliated individuals – like active-duty service members, veterans and military spouses – build strong career paths in our community.   
3. Promote Local Businesses to veterans, active-duty service members and their families.
