90 min Cardio + Wellness Workshop - Learn from expert coach Kelly, CPT - Certified Personal Trainer in this special workshop, designed for those just starting out on their fitness journey, getting back into cardio training or looking to incorporate new cardio modalities into their workout routine. All levels welcome - including beginners.
Everyone knows that a little bit of cardio is good for you, but what exactly is cardiorespiratory training? How is it different from training for cardiovascular endurance? How much of it should you be doing per week? What kind of cardio is the “best” for you? Can cardiovascular training be low-impact?
Movement-is-Medicine, we’ll talk about what cardio is and isn’t, explore ways to increase your NEAT, learn how your heart rate informs your cardiorespiratory fitness, introduce recovery & breathing techniques to help you move better, advice on injury prevention and tackle some common misconceptions about fitness in general. Workshop includes group discussion, recovery kit and movement-based exploration of cardiorespiratory exercises so GET READY TO MOVE!!! Each attendee also receives a BONUS 15 min infrared sauna session! Afterwards enjoy heart healthy snacks & refreshments!
Please wear comfortable, stretchy clothes and running/athletic shoes. Bring a towel, water, and exercise/yoga mat. Hydration strongly advised! Class is outside weather permitting
