Independence Community Ice Rink Invites Local Partners to Join the Future of Youth Sports Through Naming Rights Opportunity
INDEPENDENCE, MO (April 20, 2026) – The Independence Community Ice Rink is more than just a place to skate, it’s where first goals are scored, confidence is built, and lifelong memories are made. Now, the rink is inviting local businesses and community partners to become part of that story in a lasting way.
Through a newly announced naming rights opportunity, the Independence Community Ice Rink is seeking a partner who believes in the power of youth sports, community connection, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome on and off the ice.
Every year, over 850 thousand local families, athletes, and visitors walk through the rink’s doors. With 365 days of early morning practices and Learn to Skate lessons to youth hockey games and tournaments, figure skating, and community events, it’s a place where kids find their passion, friendships are formed, and the community comes together.
The Independence Community Ice Rink naming rights opportunity is an exclusive and unique way to align with positive, family-focused experiences while gaining year-round visibility across a wide and engaged audience. From signage and digital presence to event integration and community programming, the partnership can be tailored to create authentic connections with local families.
Most importantly, this partnership helps support continued access to programs that serve skaters of all ages and abilities including youth hockey, figure skating, adaptive skating, and public sessions designed for everyone to enjoy.
“This rink has always been about more than ice,” says General Manager Mike Young. “It’s about giving kids a place to grow, families a place to gather, and our community a place to connect. We’re looking for a partner who wants to be part of that impact in a meaningful way.”
Local businesses, organizations, and community-minded partners interested in learning more about naming rights opportunities are encouraged to reach out.
