The Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce Promotes Becca Blake to Vice President
Blue Springs, MO – The Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Becca Blake has been promoted to Vice President. In her new role, Blake will continue to oversee all aspects of communication and add new management responsibilities. She will support the day-to-day management and development of the organization as well as the implementation of the strategic plan. She is second-in-command and will fulfill the President’s role when the President is absent or unavailable.
Becca has worked in communications for the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce since 2020 when she was promptly thrust into the Chamber world of helping businesses survive the COVID pandemic. Learning the Chamber ropes during this time was just a little crazy, but she is passionate about helping business owners succeed and is grateful to get to work with a team that works tirelessly to provide much needed resources and solutions to member businesses and the Blue Springs community.
“Becca is a master at being able to communicate with our members.”, said Lara Vermillion, Chamber President. “She communicates how to maximize the value of the Chamber and believes in constantly and consistently delivering value to others. Becca always strives to help the organization and our members be the best they can be.”
Before joining the Chamber, Becca spent 10 years as a professional wedding and brand photographer. She has also worked with creative small business owners to help them develop strong visual brands and strategic social media presence.
Becca is a graduate of the 2020–2021 Leadership Blue Springs program, graduated from Chamber Management Academy in 2021, and is also a 2021 graduate of the Citizens Police Academy.
Becca enjoys spending time outdoors, especially running, biking, and kayaking. She has two children: Hollie, 18, who attends Metropolitan Community College, and Mavrick, 17, a junior at Grain Valley High School.
Serving the business community for more than 60 years, The Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce is an influential community partner and proactive business organization that promotes, develops, and facilitates a strong economic environment in which the Eastern Jackson County business community can grow and prosper.
